Those are for turning out thousands of pieces a day, with every one just like the rest. This is a company focused on creating something special.
The owner, Gina Wicker, says they can send out samples in as little as two days, which turns out to be a real surprise for clients. Their throws, blankets and pillows are done in linen, alpaca, and wool – some of the most comfortable fibers in the world. They find small runs of yarn and bring them to Alamance County where they are turned into soft, feel good fabric.
Those high speed looms might be 20 times faster than the looms they’re using, but taking your time has a lot of advantages, because every piece they turn out has to be perfect. That means, there are no flaws like a missed stitch. The end product is very high end, but when designers are working with a client on a high end mountain house or a beachfront mansion, they appreciate a company like Native Spun that can create that feeling of luxury.
