Textile Maker
Job Description: Textile Maker Apprentice, Textile Maker, Master Textile Maker (depending on previous experience)

Our goal is to use predominantly natural and organic fibers with a focus on sustainability and fair work practices. Daily tasks:
Work with other team members to produce a quality product
Brainstorm and troubleshoot as a team to effectively address challenges
Create and innovate to deliver stunning textiles
Weave fabric on vintage hand and air-assisted shuttle looms
Make warps on manual warping station
Tie-in or draw warps to prepare for weaving
Repair fabric defects on loom or during finishing prep
Use industrial sewing machines to apply sew-in labels and hems
Finish product using commercial washer and dryer
Inspect finished product and fix any flaws to ensure the highest quality product for our customers
Apply appropriate hang tag and labels
Fold and package product for shipping
Job Requirements:
Interest in being part of a team
Willingness to learn new things and to teach others for the good of the entire team
Ability to assess and trouble-shoot problems and offer solutions
Dependability and accountability to the team
Openness to cross-training and willingness to perform the duties required
Creative, reliable, self-starter
Helpful Skills:
Textile experience preferably sewing and/or weaving or a willingness to learn these skills
Mechanical experience fixing or repairing textile equipment (or automobiles, or washing machines, or lawn mowers) and a roll-your-sleeves-up fix-it mentality
Understanding of basic textile terms or willingness to learn
Job type: Part-time, full-time, and seasonal positions available. Flexible hours.
